Timecode

« Back to Glossary Index

Timecode is a method of measuring the duration of a film or video by dividing it into a series of discrete time points, each representing a specific amount of time. It is often used in post-production to synchronize audio and video and is expressed in hours, minutes, and seconds (e.g. 00:00:30).
