Getting Started with AVAir

Setting up your access to AVAir is a quick and straightforward process. While provisioning your account can take up to 24 hours, we usually have everything up and running within an hour. Once your account is ready, you’ll receive an email with your login details and instructions on how to get started.

Preferred Access: Desktop/Web

For the best experience, we recommend accessing AVAir from a desktop or web browser. This method provides a more robust interface, allowing you to manage files, folders, and collaborations with ease.

App Installation

If you prefer to access AVAir on a mobile device, download the Nextcloud app on your preferred device(s):

Account Setup

Log in to the Nextcloud app using your credentials. Access specific project folders if you’re part of a team, or create/request access to relevant shared folders.

  • If you’re using the Nextcloud app for AVAir, you’ll need to log into the server at: https://avair.eyeseecolor.com
    Enter this URL when the app prompts you to connect to your AVAir account.

Recording and Uploading Footage

  1. Capture Footage: Use your phone’s camera, ensuring optimal settings.
  2. Upload Files: Directly upload videos to designated shared folders in AVAir.
  3. Auto-Sync: Enable auto-sync for instant file uploads when connected to Wi-Fi or data, allowing immediate access for editing.

Collaboration and Access

  • Notifications: Team members receive alerts when new files are added, allowing editors to begin work immediately.
  • Anywhere Access: AVAir’s cloud-based platform provides access to files from any device, ideal for remote work.
  • Security: Customizable folder permissions ensure secure and controlled access.

Audio (under both Production and Post-Production)

  • Ambient Sound: Environmental sounds, like wind or city noises, to set the tone.
  • Walla: Background chatter or murmurs from crowds, adding realism to scenes (Post-Production Audio).
  • Film Score (Original Music): Custom music composed to enhance emotional impact.
  • Mixing & Surround Sound: Balancing audio and placing sounds in a surround sound field for immersive experiences.
  • Sound Track: Collection of music tracks used in the film, both original and licensed.
  • Dialogue: Spoken words between characters, crucial for storytelling.
  • Music: Pre-recorded or licensed songs used in the film (separate from the original score).
  • Sound Design: Creation of audio elements that enrich storytelling, including effects and textures.
  • Background: Subtle sounds that add depth but are not the scene’s focus.
  • Foley: Custom sound effects, like footsteps or object handling, created in post-production to match on-screen actions.
